Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgery Center Administrator to lead operations at our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Hawaii.
This executive leadership role is responsible for directing, coordinating, and overseeing all operational, clinical, and financial aspects of the facility. The Administrator will ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality surgical services while driving operational excellence and financial performance.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with strong ASC leadership experience or hospital surgical leadership experience with direct exposure to ambulatory surgery operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee the daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Ensure efficient clinical workflows and regulatory compliance
- Maintain operational excellence across all departments
- Appoint a qualified designee to act in the Administrator’s absence
Strategic & Financial Oversight
- Manage facility financial performance and operational metrics
- Lead planning and development of services offered by the center
- Ensure compliance with Operating or Limited Partnership Agreements
- Present and lead discussions during Monthly Operations Review calls with corporate/home office leadership
Governance & Reporting
- Report key operational activities and performance metrics to the Governing Board
- Collaborate with board leadership to align strategic objectives
Physician & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians
- Support physician recruitment and engagement initiatives
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing clinical environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role within an Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital surgical setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, and patients
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
