About the Role:
As a CNA you will be an integral part of our care team, providing direct patient care and support to our residents/patients. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the comfort, dignity, and well-being of those in our care.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting residents/patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting residents/patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
- Serving meals and assisting with feeding as required.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents/patients.
- Communicating effectively with residents/patients, families, and the care team.
- Documenting care provided accurately and promptly.
- Adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Reporting any changes in resident/patient condition to the nursing staff.
- Providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid CNA certification/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care.
- Experience working as a CNA/Care Assistant in a healthcare setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, compassionate, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Good physical stamina and mobility.
- A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
